Facials and Skin Treatments

Dermaplane: A simple and safe way to gently exfoliate the surface layer of your skin while removing any vellus hair (peach fuzz) using a surgical blade. Dermaplaning improves skin tone, helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and gives your skin great product absorption. Can be an add-on or alone.

Waxing: A semi-permanent hair removal method that removes hair from the root using a sticky substance like wax. Depending on the thickness of your hair, either hard or soft wax will be applied. Can be an add-on or booked alone.

Jelly Mask: A hydrating jelly-like face-mask that is applied all over the face (can include mouth and eyes) providing the skin with many benefits such as hydration, smoothing, moisturizing, exfoliating, cooling, toning and inflammation reduction.

Lymphatic Drainage/Gua Sha: A gua sha is used to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote lymphatic drainage. This helps with the removal of excess fluids and waste from the body, helping with swelling and puffiness in the face.

LED Light Therapy: A non-invasive light treatment that enters the skin’s layers to improve the appearance of your skin. Red light therapy travels further into the skin helping reduce inflammation while stimulating the production of collagen and increasing blood flow. This will help with the overall appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Blue light therapy is often targeted towards acneic skin as it destroys the acne-causing bacteria found on the skin.

Jessner Peel – The Jessner peel is a 14% blend of equal parts salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol. This peel is commonly used to address a variety of skin concerns, including acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture. The strength of the Jessner peel is determined by the number of layers applied: 1-3 layers for a light peel, 4-6 layers for a medium peel, 7-8 layers for a deeper peel. Individuals with medium to dark skintones are advised to NOT apply the Jessner solution beyond 4-6 layers, due to the increased risk of hyperpigmentation.

TCA Peel – Trichloroacetic acid, or TCA peels, are effective for treating a range of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, and dull, uneven skin texture. Compared to other chemical peels, such as glycolic or salicylic acid, TCA peels are generally stronger and penetrate deeper into the skin and typically require a longer recovery period.
